One of my new favorites, a French Martini: French Martini recipe 1oz Vanilla Vodka 1/2oz Chambord 1/2oz Cointreau 1/2oz Pineapple Juice 1/2oz Cranberry Juice Twist of Lime Pour each of the above into a tall bar glass. Shake with ice, pour into a cocktail or martini glass, and serve. Had 1 and 1/3 at the local hibachi restaurant tonight with dinner. 2/3's of the first one evaporated when I knocked over my glass and it spilled on the grill while the chef was cooking.

After a FAB visit with our friends this week, I have perfected my Margarita recipe so I offer it now for your summer enjoyment. 1 1/2 cup fresh lime juice 2 cups 'simple syrup' = 1 cup water + 1 cup sugar, dissolved juice of 1 lemon juice of 1 orange (optional- it can make it a bit too sweet sometimes for my taste) Healthy dose of Grand Marnier to taste Tequila to taste/preference/intention makes a large pitcher. Enjoy

Just wanted to add a fine little summer recipe. Summer Sangria. It is a white Sangria so it is less heavy and less head ache causing.
1 bottle of white wine of choice 1/3 cup plum or peach brandy maybe 1/4 cup lemonade a cup sliced green and red grapes 1 fresh peach cut up sugar to taste.
I've found that this can kick your butt on its own in the sun around the pool etc. However, is you make it into a bit of a spritzer with club soda or 7up then it's quite tasty and refreshing and 'sparkly' without knocking you down. Happy summer all.

Indeed it is...it is my new favorite social, dinner party, friends over thing for the summer, closely followed by the margaritas of course. Glad you like it. Let me know if anyone makes it! I'm going to try the butterbeer recipe next.
