Not much going on here...Hunter started part-time daycare yesterday...only two days a week but it gives mommy a break from him and occassionally will allow us to actually spend a day together alone when I have days off that match up... You don't have to report in just when you have news, V! You can come and get a dose of insanity any time you want, it's your forum after all!

Hey, peeps! I haven't posted much lately, but have been lurking. I have a new obsession--hula hooping. I've been able to waist-hoop since I was a kid, but now I'm into the trick stuff. It's been such a blast! I also ordered some poi, so I plan on starting to spin poi soon. No fire poi, though. I'm afraid I'd burn my face off.
Vicki, I had some fabulous almond croissant bread pudding at my favorite cafe today--I'd gladly buy you a piece of it for having finished up The Neon Graveyard. You earned it, girl!

Also, do you have an update on your nephew, Raven? Sounds pretty scary.

Isn't poi the snot-like paste food from Hawaii? I wouldn't try it when I lived there. It looked nasty.
It's my little half-brother, valkyrie, thanks for asking.
He's out of the hospital, but on strict orders to be careful. He can't carry his own backpack to school or even go on long car rides because of the bumps or impact it could have on his still delicate kidney. Crazy, huh? My dad says it's mellowed him out alot. For one, he's still in a bit of pain, but it's also made him realize that he's not invincible. I remember when they visited me in Hawaii years ago, the kid was like 3 and jumping into the deep end of the pool with no life jacket. My dad said back then, "That kid has no fear." He's always been like that. He had a real good scare this time, but ended up very lucky. At one point, they thought they may have to take the kidney and he was really afraid. Surgery wasn't necessary, but he spent over a week in the hospital and now has to take it easy for like 6 weeks. He can't even participate in P.E. or recess!
