It's a shame it's not being handled very well. It's really one of the best shows on TV right now, right after Heroes and True Blood of course. I'll be seeing the next epi in about an hour from now if all goes well. woo hoo.

Cool, I only got one. The acting was a little sub par but the over all story was good and went with the over all theme of the books so I liked it..
The one I saw was a bout a map maker that made maps that could track Richard.

So weird...when i looked at the Guide on the TV, it said two episodes but i only got one also!! (The one with the maps too). Yeah their acting needs a little bit of work, but i really enjoy the show anyway. I like the fight scenes, they're really fun to watch.

Okay, so they're deffinately deviating considerably from the books...not a bad thing in some cases...I'm still concerned about the fact that Richard didn't memorize the contents of the BoCS...it'll drastically change (completely) the final scenes between Richard and Darken...
I take from that fact that they're not planning on getting into the war with the old world...

Who knows what they are going to do. I feel like they have strayed way off the course of the books. It's still good. I'm looking forward to meeting the Mord S'ith and Cara. I really liked her. I hope they get that part right. In the last show I noticed another detail they didn't use from the books. Kahlin is suppose to have the longest hair of all the women in the Midlands. The lower a woman's social standing, the shorter the hair. I guess this doesn't apply to thieves.

See guys, that's what's sorta off-putting about books turning into shows or movies...They always end up straying from the orginal plots and sometimes that ruins it for viewers...
I thought Zedd's performance in this epi was kind of bad...he did much better in the 1st two epis...
FYI, the actor playing Zedd is 6"7' -->WOW, that's ginormous!

I don't mind they stray some from the books. If they followed word for word, I think I'd get bored with it.
I would like them to keep some of the conventions the same as the book, like the hair thing. Another thing is the Mord s'ith, they should be like th book as much as possible.
I guess I feel the characters should be true to the book but this story can wander a bit as long as it stays true to the themes of the book.
In this last episode, it had nothing to do with the story in the book that I remember but it stayed true to the characters.
Richard had to set the example and help save the kid no matter what.
Kahlen tries to talk him out of it to keep him safe and on the primary mission.
Zebb is there for guidance and to back Richard as needed. I am looking forward to the addition of Cara. I hope she gets worked in.
With the way they started the show, I wonder if they will work in the Sisters of Light or not.

Well, the problem I see is that if they're not going with the old world plotline the mord sith aren't likely to be freed...right now, as in the first book, the only enemy to worry about is Rahl and his minions...unless they take a wider world view, they'll keep Richard from winning indeffinately...Hense, no Cara and the mord sith...

Drat, you are right and that would just suck. She is so funny and I love that character. She would never be with Richard until Darken Rahl is defeated. If there is a season 2 then maybe?

Description for tomorrow's epi: "Richard finds out that the D'Harans have taken over the city where he was born."

Does he know where he was born or is it the city he grew up in back in the Westland? Guess I'll find out in about 23.5 hours.

Well, I'm not sure they're going to actually go beyond Dahara vs. Midlands/Westlands no matter the season...I can't pinpoint anything in particular that makes me think that, but I just get the feeling we're stuck basically within the first book...

I read the episode description. It is the actual town he was born in before being moved to the Westlands. I have a feeling the D'Harans are going be asked to move out by the Seeker. Should be some nice fighting tonight.
