Scribble me this Vicki-doodles,
Has any 'dedicated' astrologist every disagreed with your version of the Zodiac?
"That just can't happen, the stars wouldn't allow it." or something like that?

I would be curious about that as well. I am a pretty serious astrologer and I agree with everything about 99.9% of the time..Vicki's got it goin on. Still waiting for the Pisces Synde

I'd also be curious how extensive her/your knowledge of Astrology is?

Another thought occurred to me along these lines...How about the natural animosities between the signs? Obviously Light and Shadow of the same side are the bitterest rivals (you always hate the most what potential you see in yourself) but would the polar opposite sign be your second worste enemy?
For example, would Warren (as Light Tauran) be constantly butting heads with the Shadow Capricorn, or even the Light Cap?

That's a good thought as well, are there elemental animosities?

Hi Vampy,
Actually, astrology is one of the things that I'm continually researching and refining in this series. It helps ground all the fantastical elements in reality - after all, most everybody knows a little something about his or her star sign, and at the very least find it entertaining - and it's an important part of Jo's world. Mind, it still always comes at the service of the story - story is All, All, All to me - but since I approach it with respect and really am intent on doing my homework, it has paid off by really rounding out my characters and world. New things pop up every time I open up one of my astrological books ... and it's fun research to boot!
DL - yes, I do pay attention to the signs that don't mix well, and I try to build antagonistic relationships upon those findings, but fortunately for me humans are mercurial all on their own. Sometimes people just don't get along. But it's nice to at least theorize why some personalities mix like oil and water.
In short, I'm always looking for more ways to believably ground my world, and astrology is a wonderful help with that.

You like my AV? i modified him a little. I changed his angry frown to a wacky smile and added a little blood to the sign. I didn't like the macaroni penguin all that much

Oh, that's blood on the sign? It looked brown to me so I thought it was something else. Excellent questions in this thread, guys. I got one. Vicki, Do you believe in astrology? That we're at all influenced by when we were born, or the alignment of the planets...? Of course, my little Thread Jacker! *groan* Oh, don't encourage him!

Vic: I'm still waiting for Pisces too. I think we need a short, kick-ass dancer chick. Just saying.

No! She doesn't NEED to be tall to be tough. She can always just tackle people at the knees. Conduits? I'll just leave that to Vicki. Oh, but HOT! I forgot short but HOT. ;D
