See what I get for trying to remember anything without referrencing first? Didn't have the book in front of me to confirm the state...I thought I remembered Texas in there somehow, but could simply be their nickname for him or something...

I can't remember Texas.. But I think it was O.B. They called him Ted or Teddy.

I'm a little disappointed with the Anita series lately. It just isn't what it used to be. I've been reading LKH's myspace blogs and it looks like the next Merry book is going to ROCK! I can't wait to get my hands on it.

I can't wait to get my hands on it. I've been keeping up with her blog on her site. I can't wait for the next Merry book either. But I love Doyle so I can't complain. Just hope what happened to Frost doesn't happen to him. I can't wait for the next Anita either. The one after this next one is publish. It's another Edward book without the rest of the cast. Like O.B.

OK...I am reading Blood Noir and am finding it very disjointed...jumping from subplot to subplot without really making me care about anything that is happening. Am I the only one who feels this way about it?

Haven't read that one, which series is it? (Anita I'm assuming?)

Haven't read that one, which series is it? (Anita I'm assuming?) Yes, it is the latest (just out this week) in the Anita Blake series. I finished it this evening and really can't say that I enjoyed it.

I haven't enjoyed the Anita Blake series in a long time, so I stopped reading.

I should stop, too...but them I get to thinking something might actually "happen" in the next book and I get sucked in again.

Well, I thought Harlequin was fairly good...things actually moved along a bit in that one (especially compared to books like Micah)...In general what was it you didn't like about the newest? Lack of plot (either story arch or individual), excessive sex, little character advancement. . .
