Just finished reading CTG late last night. LOVED it. Maybe my favorite of the series. It is so good. Jo being pregant - I had picked up the hints as I was reading, her always feeling sick, etc. But I kept thinking I was reading too much into it and my hopes were influencing how I was interpreting what was happening in the story. So when I got to the end I was thrilled. And its even better that Vicki has confirmed it because she did leave it vague enough that I was still doubting it. So yay Vicki, I love that twist in the plot. Now she just needs to get Hunter back. Although I loved the book, Luna's death was really sad, almost had me crying. And I'm really going to miss Jolivia, Cher, and Suzanne. I loved that Suzanne was really Zoe, and it didn't completely surprise me since I had read the threads on this forum discussing that theory. But it will be sad that these people won't be such a big part of her life anymore and that she won't be using her identity as Olivia anymore (although Olivia wasn't killed off, so maybe a return to that identity at some point? Not sure Jo would welcome that though and its good for Jo to be herself). I was totally surprised by the Tulpa/Arun storyline and Skemar's death. Also didn't see the independent agents coming. Loved that part of the story. Hopefully Jo can find some true friends she can be herself around and truly trust, who won't just see her as a tool. Carlos is great. If Jo didn't have Hunter, he would be a great choice. Hopefully he will just become a really good friend. And I hope to see and learn more of the other independent agents, which I'm sure we will in future books. I just hope Warren gets what's coming to him (I'm thrilled Zoe was pretty upset with him, loved that part of the book). The nerve of him to offer Jo her spot back in the troop. I also hope some of the Agents of Light wake up and stop buying the "Warren has his reasons" line. Can we get the 6th book yet??? Please! ;D Just kidding Vicki, take you time writing them so that they will all be this good.

Just finished reading CTG late last night. LOVED it. Maybe my favorite of the series. It is so good. I am right there with you, this installment was so rich and satisfying that even though I am sleep-deprived I am feeling hopefull about the direction things are going. I absolutely adored this book. There is a very small part of me that is sorry I don't have any Annie Wilkes in me, because I really wish I could get my hands on the next book.... I'll just have to hope that Vicki's muse is whispering in her ear and keeping her busy.

OMG you guys, I wasn't online yesterday and you all came to discuss. Waaaaaa (sick kid etc.). Oh, yeah, like Vickie said she is so pregnant, and I LOVE, LOVE this line:
"This will make me more dangerous."
That is such a pregnant gal thing to say, well, if the gal was a warrior chick...
I was trying to NOT be the first to talk about smoochies with Hunter....I think I actually held my breath.
The scenes with Zoe and Jo were awesome...so much emotion and finding out she was Suzanne was the BEST EVER. Best. Ever.
As far as Olivia making another appearance...in some ways wasn't Jo suppose to be a new person now? She took her experiences as both of them, and finally became the person she was meant to be? I'm probably not wording that correctly... Plus isn't she done hiding?

OK so I just finished devouring CTG.
Amazing Story. I love how Jo has grown with each progressive book in the series. IN this one she has really come into her own. She is strong, together, determined, reconciled with the woman she is and still bitchy (love it). She was totally Ticking me off about the Hunter getting lovey dovey with his wife. I wanted to smack her one for having no faith in my main man.
Shockers - Suze/Zoe - Yeah I totally had to eat previous words I had about that but that ok she was totally kick ass!! though I wish she beat up Warren the Toad! He is still a douche.
I love the Independent Agents, they are so interesting and have been a part of the series that I always wondered about.
Any who Loved this book and for once it didn't make me cry. COS is still extremely painful topic for me. But totally happy that some of the questions were answered in this book.
The Fights scenes were amazing. Epic and awesome!

I don't know which powers she lost, but those sticks she got from harlan trading them were pretty awesome. Especially awesome? Jo using those sticks on Sola! Sweet! Maybe i need to re-read, but when Jo and Hunter are talking, he says that Sola is the only one with an intact soul? I though since Hunter used Regan's sould, that his would remain intact? Any ideas on that? Continuing on souls, Sola complained someone was protecting Jo's soul. Was it her mom, zoe, or was it her soul connection to hunter? Or did that connection not come until Jo was pregnant? I was suprised by Tekla in this one. The fact that she suggested to Warren to send Jo to midheaven and get her soul stripped? Ugh! What? I'm glad Tekla helped her out, but she has a darker side to her, even if it's not quite as bad as Warren. Warren just needs to be slowly and painfully put out of our misery. Preferably by Zoe and Jolivia together. Or maybe by Jo's new pet, the ginormous Buttersnap? (side note- super sad about Luna. Cried for her ;_; ) Random thoughts in my head: Where is Lola? And with the weird time distortion in midheaven, how old is Lola? Seems that Sola took off pretty quickly after she found out she was pregnant and told Hunter that their little girl would be the Kairos. Is there a chance that Lola hasn't emerged cuz Sola had a boy? Wouldn't that just be evil? Hopefully Vicki will shed some light on this soon. . . . .

Maybe because Sola is THE goddess she is able to still put up his soul in her sky? I have a felling, however, that Hunter has been there before. When Jo and Hunter were sharing the Areole (positive I spelled that incorrectly) she saw him holding his baby (I am right, right? I think I remember that), so that could mean he went to Midheaven to actually see Lola and Sola when she was born? Perhaps, perhaps. I think that Zoe was the one protecting her soul... maybe it had something to do with her giving up all her powers to save Jo after she was raped. Just my guess though I was surprised with Telka... I was wondering what would happen after Olivia named her a traitor and that she would most effect Jo in the time to come. I really like Telka's character but now I am wondering about her...

For some reason I thought that he used Regan both times he got into Midheaven... because didn't she die the second time he went in, because he used the last third of her soul? or am I mistaken? Maybe she only had one third of her soul to begin with?
I'd have to re-read that part though... something else entirely might have killed her, or someone...if it did have to do with midheaven and her soul then what happened to the third part? Haha, I am now confusing myself.
AH HA! Page 283 of the book says: "I glanced back down at the closed manual and rubbed a thumb over his profile, then closed my eyes and imagined Solange sucking on a sliver of his soul; cold and diamond-shaped, like a sparkling lozenge." So when Solange used the child who was helping Hunter, and took his soul, she might have taken a piece of Hunter's soul too....

Even if he did use Regan both times, he's sitll only a man...women are the true powers of midhaven, so it wouldn't matter if his full soul matches hers
