I believe someone mentioned Cosmos? Much better than the ones with Cointreau, IMO In a cocktail shaker, combine with ice: 2 oz vodka 1 oz Rose's lime juice 1 oz triple sec anywhere from a splash to 2 oz cranberry juice, depending on your preference Mix well and pour into a glass. Add a slice of lime for garnish and enjoy! Theresa, I just made these last night at a friend's house. Thanks for such a good time! Vic

OK...I was sucked in and admittedly bored, so I clicked on the link for "What Mixed Drink are you?" So just for fun, here is the drink they say I am... Gin and Tonic You are a real classic. You like to keep it simple with a true original. Crisp, clean, smooth, flavorful. What more could you want? ok...pretty much accurate. cheers stacey

OMG!! That is so funny. My signs cocktail requires that I brew a special tea from douglas fir needle tips. Yikes! I may have to try it though. On another note. I was in our precious Peppermill the weekend before Independence Day! Ms. P was unable to join us as she was busy prepping for her trip, but a fab time was had by all and pics will be posted as soon as I get around to it. stacey

When I drink, I get claustrophobic and I wander. Really don't want to be drunk and wandering around the Strip.
I do love the Peppermill though. Pure Vegas, baby! Neon and fake fire! Mirrors! Last time I was in there was about a year ago. I should go back.

OK Raven...if I'm lucky I'll get them up tomorrow. Ember, who knows how much longer it'll be there. They've already 'paved paradise' next door. The La Concha and the other one...oh damn...anyway, both are gone and its blacktop! Go back to the mother of all cheesy Vegas lounges before she is laid to rest. Return my child! The glowing pond of fire is calling you.

LOL! I will have to stop by soon, then!
I wonder if The Peppermill has attained such "historical" status among the powers that be in Vegas that it will avoid the implosion thing. There aren't that many structures that have that status. I'm thinking of the wedding chapel that my parents were married in--Little Chapel of the West--that has lived on three different properties over the years and when each of those properties was imploded, they simply moved the chapel to another spot. (For those of you who don't know, this little chapel can hold like, 5 people. Including the wedding couple and the minister.)
I dunno if The Peppermill can escape the Vegas fate. If it's too old, raze it to the ground! Build something new and shiny! Who knows. It does have quite the history, and sometimes even in Vegas theres a little nostalgia sort of clouding up the relentless forward movement. I hope they keep it. I bet if even a few people sent a letter to Uncle Oscar, he'd stop any plans to take it down.

One would hope that "Uncle Oscar" and his 'family' might have a soft spot for the old place, but who knows. Cash can be thicker than blood, so to speak. Pics to come soon Raven, I promise.
