It's odd, but I am not sure that Jo's HEA is the conventional romance formula HEA -- coupled off with a man and kids.
In my mind, Jo's HEA is reconciliation with her mother and a permanent place or home within the world where she has the love and respect of her peers and is recognized and appreciated for who she is and what she brings to the table and what she has done for them all. I'd like to see the troop as commited and loyal to her as Cher and Suzanne are -- she's earned it from them but they've not stood by her the way that her mortal peers have. I'd like to see that change.
I'd like to see her as the leader of the Troop because as both Light and Dark, mortal and supercharged, she's the only one who has real experience on both sides of all the equations which effect their world and in my mind, that makes her the best candidate for the responsbility of running the troop and protecting the city and even us mortals. It's ironic that Warren who preaches balance and the rest of the troop who seems to believe in, don't live it themselves.
As for her love life, I wouldn't mind seeing Jo with Ben. If this is a tale of the potential for Light and Dark and the role of free will in the indivdual, then the man that Ben has a potential to be now that his past with Jo is gone, is in fact the potential to actually be the man that Jo always believed he could be. There's a certain poetry to that.
Hunter breaks my heart. I think Jo deserves someone less damaged and less damaging -- I desparately want to see Hunter redeemed but I don't know that he deserves Jo (even if she desires him and I'd love reading about them together). Hunter has used her and betrayed her just as much as Warren has -- he turned her into the means to chase after his own agenda and he made love to her knowing what it meant to her and that he was still going to use her to get to Midheaven. Hunter owes it to Jo to try and reclaim the peices of her that were left in Midheaven, but that act alone would not redeem him. All Hunter had to do was ask Jo for help finding Solange and Lola. If Hunter had just asked Jo for her help, she would have but he never gave her that chance.
I'd love to see Jo in a HEA that includes Hunter or Ben, but I wouldn't mind a fresh start with someone new.

I like the way you worded that. I disagree there. He was pushing her away when she was all up on him. He was saying it was a bad time and shit, and Jo persisted. Yes, he did ultimately shag her, but he didn't seduce her. And we don't know that Jo would've jumped at the chance to help him find another woman. She's iffy sometimes. He may have been afraid to ask. Plus he was trying to keep it all a secret. Whie I do think Hunter's got alot to own up to, I don't think he's betrayed her like Warren has. Warren has been plotting, manipulating and lying ALL ALONG. ^See, part of me thinks I couldn't accept someone new, but I know Vicki couldn't write her way into my heart. (That wench.)

I would love to see Hunter and Jo/Olivia be HEA's. Both have suffered from their first loves. So I think they both are kinda broken when it comes to relationships. Warren has (I feel ) been a little manipulative with both Hunter and Jo behind the scenes, maybe causing some problems that may not have happened if he wasn't so tunnel visioned. I can't wait for her mother to finally be in the picture , I loved reading the part where she was in the hospital and her mother had come to visit and she was pissed. I hope she kicks Warren's ### for all his controlling behavior. Solange I don't know for some reason I keep thinking she is trying to control Hunter by telling him about his daughter . I think he is over her and just wants his daughter with him...... NOT Solange. Can't wait for the next book , will we be getting any teaser's as we get closer to the release date for the next book?

Hmmm maybe hints would have been a better word .....I am dying wondering what poor Hunter is suffering at the hands of Solange . I try and glean any bit information I can find .... but you are THE SOURCE ! I guess you are beyond being tempted by cookies and milk . Sigh I will have to break out the chocolates and commiserate with my daughter on the fate of Hunter/ Jo . I have her reading the series being the evil mother that I am

See, I'd actually like to see more Zoe. I find her very intriguing as well. All she gave up and sacrificed for her daughter, for the troop, the city... Such strength and selflessness.
I'd love to see inside her head!

A spin off, at least. I agree. The taste we got of Zoe in "Holidays Are Hell" was amazing. The speculation I have in my own head based on the little that we do know is enough to spark my interest. Ya know?
I'd love to learn more about Ashlyn too. Can you imagine where Vicki could go with that? Damn!

Especially the part about Jo helping find Sola; not a chance.

Well she might have made an exception if Hunter would have told her that he was looking for Solange to find Lola. I think if he had actually owned up to everything, and told Jo that he was looking for his kid, she would've done everything she could to help him. Like in CoS when she was shattered because she thought Hunter betrayed her to Regan, she still went after him, and tried to warn him about what he would find in Midheaven. Either way, everything happens for a reason...

This thing with Hunter ( finding Solange and Lola )started back when he and Jo first got together and she didn't want to be a couple with him because Ben was still in her heart. It was right after she saw Ben and Regan together. She kind of rebounded on Hunter. Still hurts my heart when Hunter is yelling at her not to turn around it was too late now (when she rejects him ) . Think it was in the 3rd book ? Maybe the end of the 2nd . Blah my daughter is reading the series right now and I can't reference it . But she had rejected him at that point ....... then she had a change of heart and wanted to have a relationship with Hunter . By then Hunter had recruited Regan to start their deal and the wheels were in motion ..... and well now he is stuck with that evil Solange

I hope Jo goes back to Midheaven in this book and has it out with Solange, I really can't stand her. I agree with a lot you, I think Hunter's only going back for Lola and Solange is using her to lure him there. I also think Chandra will take over Jo's role as the Archer at least for a short time. I hope Zoe is in the book so she can kick Warren's ass and maybe the troop will see that warren's been manipulating them the whole time.

Doesn't Midheaven already have 2/3 of her soul? Guess another Shadow is going to bite the dust to allow entry again lol. Pretty certain we haven't heard the last from Hunter or Solange yet.
