*waves* *sprays Lysol* Hello, everyone! I'm a little frightened to post in this cooty-infested thread, it's deja vu. Last time I posted to one of these "what's happenin' threads and people were sickly, I ended up getting bronchitis after all you guys were well! Regardless, hope everyone feels better. (and keeps their germs to themselves!) Around here it's spring cycle break time! Whoo-hoo! Only it's supposed to rain all week; yep spring is in the air. Next week I'll be packing up the little bit and the pup and we're going for a week's stay in KY with my parents. Poor hubby just gets to work and be alone, not that his parents don't spoil him while we're away though! We're trying to get all our ducks in row and plan a trip to visit my brother and sister-in-law in England this year also. Initially we planned a summer visit but now we're thinking September/October might work out better. Cheaper rates and they may have horse affairs more in order. And the horse is the number 1 reason the little bit wants to go! Wish us luck with working out all the frequent flyer red tape, ugh. The two months he was working in Australia and away from us should at least get us airfare for a vacation together and maybe an upgrade to business class too, right? Oh, and I'm turning the 4-0 next month! Party time. ;D

What part of KY are you going to? I have family in Menefee County and also the Georgetown area. I may be headed that way near the end of May.

Awww, thanks Ravie! I've had my physical and girly dr. stuff done for the year so I'm in good health, up-to-date on my shots (can you believe I needed a whooping cough vaccine?) and ready to go! If there are pics from the partying I will certainly share.

Hi Guys - Just a quick drive by ... waving with my head hanging out the window. Gasp. Pant. Stoopid plot of book6 is giving me fits. Man, it's not the writing that's hard in this gig, but all the *thinking!* I mean, do you guys really want a story that makes sense, with proper pacing, action, realistic dialogue, and a fully realized story arc?
Oh.
Demanding bunch o' Peeps, aren't you?
Happy St. Patty's Day, All! If I were inclined to be anything, I'd be Irish! ;-)
Back at it.

*snorts*
I don't know about a chapter ... but at least a couple thousand words a day should be good enough.

Elle (and All!) -
Well, I'm strugging *bad* for those couple of thou! Such a hard week last week and my head was down, man. First drafts are ridiculously hard! V. two steps forward, one back. And looking at the work for the day, I can already tell I have to cut words before adding them. It's frustrating, even though I know that word count isn't the goal. A fine story is the goal. But most of us use w/c as a barometer to see how well we're working. It's addictive to see it go up, knowing most of those words count, and will be there forever.
Anyway, that explains my absence. This is "deadline season" for me, where I cut out trips/get togethers/even chats and disappear p/t into another world. If I don't, the prose will ring like tin, and that's not okay.
How's everyone here?
Oh, sh*t! I almost forgot! I haz e-ARCs! Harper has gone electronic this year (can you say wave of the future?) and they're sending out electronic advanced copies this year. We'll see how it goes - I'm not sure all reviewers like to read in e-format yet ... but I know a few hardy souls here do!
And of course YOU PEEPS get em first. First five to my inbox can expect them in the mail asap. Just give me your snailmail addy, and it's yours! (OMG, am I the worst contest runner, or what? "Here - want one! Have it!" *shaking head* Pushover ...
Back to the words. SMOOCHES! Vic

Woo hoo! Info sent. Hard to believe this is the same company that delayed the Kindle version of Black Magic Sanction by 6 weeks.
