Anyone watching Merlin? It's on Sunday nights on NBC and runs against True Blood. I've been following it on Hulu and I like it. The show is about a young Merlin arriving in Camelot while Uthar Pendragon is King and Arthur is a prince. Magic is banned in Camelot and anyone caught using it can be put to death no matter what the reason. It is Britain's version of Smallville.

It is Britain's version of Smallville. That's a pretty accurate evaluation, Vampy. I had been watching online months ago. Apparently it aired in the UK awhile back. I enjoy it, mostly because of Anthony Stewart Head.

Yep it was released there last year. I really like it. Over all it's vey well done. The CGI and some stuff is a bit off but not in a really bad way. The story is atill good and the acting is too.

I started taping it to my DVR this season, but have yet to watch any of them. Anthony Stewart Head is the main reason I even thought I'd watch.

I will have got to watch it sometime, because I never have. Though I keep hearing good stuff about it.

Been watching this too. Just finished watching season 2 a few days ago and I am anxiously awaiting season 3.
Inaccurate compared to most mythology and falls on the popular misconception about Morgana but that's not important since thats the beauty of King Arthur tales, they can be made to however the author chooses.

Merlin is making it's way to Syfy. They will probably show what we already saw on NBC last year.

Yeah, SyFy movies are pretty much the joke of the sci-fi/fantasy genre, but their original series are usually very well done...unfortunately, they're the reason that Firefly never made it...most of the potential fans were already hopelessly adicted to Farscape...

I liked Farscape for the first season or 2 then Just like the X-files, I just dropped it. I had no desire to watch it anymore...samething with Fringe.
I remeber the exact scene in Fringe whe nI said OK, I"m done. There was a 50's style dinner and this woman's head explodes all over the door as the camera is looking in. Too much blood and gore for no real reason I said screw this. Never went back.

I'm not sure if I'm gonna keep watching or not. I love Anthony Stewart Head, but this is reminding me more and more of that Young Hercules show, i.e. let's take some names from literature and make it appeal to the Dawson's Creek crowd.

It is a bit weird...I didn't see last season, to be honest, but they're deffinately playing fast and loose with the mythology...I'd be okay with that if they're doing it to try for a more realistic feel, but since this one isn't then I'll give it another few epis, but otherwise won't care that it's on when I'm getting ready for work...
