I loved the first 5 novels in her Huntress series but for me they got too bland(might have just been the last one). I LOVE the world she put together and I LOVE how she spins all the fun things about religion and Dante's Inferno(especially this one) together. Amazing writer.
I can't wait to read her newest novel Bad Blood. It sounds like she's putting a new spin on her writing and I'm itching to read it!
Her anthologies are fun to read as well. Her first anthology was my favorite, I just can't remember the name. XD
Always love her books(even in their slow parts) and I always sing her praises. I love the imagination she puts in her books.

Sometimes the longer a series runs the more a writer (whether novelist, TV, or other) can get into a rut... Haven't read hers but it's certainly worth looking into!

I saw Banks' books in the library once and remembered an Arthur had recommended her. So I checked it out but I had a very hard time reading it. Normally I go through a book in a day. I had the damn book for a week and couldn't get pass the first chapter. Then I realized why. I'm a first person reader and no so good with 3rd person. I have a hard time getting into the main character if it's in 3rd person.

Understandable. Her writing style at times is very hard to read too, but one you get past that it's fun. XD

Bad Blood is a good read, I enjoyed it. Some parts of it kind of reminded me of the Huntress series. I have all of those. The Huntress series has what, only two or three books left. I want to know how it all ends. So I will be reading them.

I could snail mail you a copy....if the wait is too long. Let me know.
I hate waiting on books I desperately want to read. Our library here is so sucky that they've never even HEARD of LA Banks, or anything else good to read. Nada Zip Zilch. I mean sheesh, they only started getting more recent gardening books like 3 years ago. Unless you are looking for harlequin romances or biblical stuff you are out of luck.

I'm the second person in the wait so it's all good. I can wait a few days. I got 7 other books from the library to tide me over. XD
But thanks for the offer!
I'm lucky and can borrow LA Banks books from the library because the library I'm closet to (besides the NEW one down the road) is in the Alphabet Streets (Vegas). A lot of AA's live there so LA Banks books are in plenty supply!

No problem. Just let me know if you change your mind. I love Vegas. Been there twice, and want to go back soon. Very cool place to visit. Where I live is like the equivalent of Dog Patch Idaho. I live in this little bitty pissant town in the bible belt. In the country. My neighbors have cows, and one of them is in labor cause it's been bellowing for the last couple of days. Loudly.

You got it! That would be fun. Vegas is like magic, isn't it? I will never forget the first time I flew in, it was getting dark and we flew over the Grand Canyon (so beautiful) and then seeing from far away that amazing glow of lights. It's a moment that sticks with me. I love the excitement there too. It's like anything can happen. That's one of the reasons I like VP's books so much. I love the way she writes about the city itself.

Its ok. I mean it's fun at times but when you're under 21 it sucks. XP
Though there was a fun time where there was a writing tour throughout the city. It was great!
