DL - Yep, it follows the mother's line. When the star sign is passed on to the next generation, it will go to a daughter, even if the first-born is a son. For example, Tekla's sign was going to Stryker because he was her only child. He did not inherit his father's sign.
Does that help?

Ok, so all male agents are only children? I'm really intrigued by all the details, but I feel a little guilty. I don't mean to be dissecting your work, Vicki It's just really fascinating!

I feel the same way...There's quite a bit mentioned in the two that are already out, but it's a little scattered throughout them so my mind tries to figure out the rules... So was the yup about the line dying? What if Hunter had a daughter with a human woman, and she then had a daughter, could that restore his lineage? (And quite all you who either want Hunter for yourselves or to end up with Jo-livia! This is a purely rhetorical question! )

Theresa, No, males can be first born, but if they have a younger sister, the lineage will naturally pass to her. (It's our popular culture, but in reverse.)
DL, the only way Hunter's line can continue is if he has a child with a female agent. But it would, technically, be _her_ line.

lol...okay, so that does explain it fully...And yeah, I would consider that her line more than his...after all, it's her sign that would continue...

Vicki, Very important question. What sign is Warren. For some reason I have him as Libra and no one has yet to correct me neither have you but if this is true ~spoiler coming up kidos~ If Warren is the libra how can Kimber be the knew Libra? I'm confuse.
Quoting book 4:
"Our libra (Marlo), Thought with guilt, had died only last month."
What is kimber's day job too?
PS does jewell have a conduit yet?

No day job on Kimber yet - they're still formulating her identity, and she has to undergo metamorphosis first. More to come there! (Obviously. {wryg}
Warren is the Taurus. Sorry for not catching that! I have an Excel spreadsheet that needs updating. {wry g}

I just finished reading Touch of Twilight but I'm a bit confused about a couple of things first.. why is Joanne keeping her daughter a secret from the troops when she knows that the shadows know all about her? Doesn't the troops have both the means and motivation to protect her daughter? And two, why is she still using Olivia's identity after she's been outed? Wouldn't that mean she needs a new identity? And three, whats up with her and Hunter? Now thats Bens gone whats keeping her from Hunter?

Tisa,
Let me move this over to the ToT thread and answer there later. (Got more work to do first!)
Good questions, though!
