Music we recommendNew cd I love: Nightmare Revisited <-----ClickY It's a bunch of the songs from The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack, redone by rock artists! It's festive and it kicks ass! So far, I'm lovin' Marilyn Manson's verson of "This is Halloween" (as soon as I heard the guitar, I was like Weeee!, Flyleaf's breathy "What's This?", Korn's "Kidnap the Sandy Claws" and Amy Lee's moody version of "Sally's Song" the most. (Sally's Song is one of my all time faves) The art inside and even the cd is beautiful! (I Nightmare Before Christmas!)

Latest cool song I heard was by Apocalyptica, dubbed "I don't care". The lyrics aren't much to listen to, but the guitar work is impressive.

I believe Amy Lee will be performing "Sally's Song" on Jay Leno this Monday night.
Song I'm really grooving to lately is "Strange Overtones" David Bryne and Brian Eno. It's free at Amazon MP3 Downloads this week.

I'm listening to Peter Murphy's Deep album ... I'm digging the Late 80's and Early 90's for some reason lol

Just downloaded New Regime "Coup." It's one guy, Ilan Rubin, who played for Lost Prophets and will be taking over live drumming from Josh Freese in NIN next year. The "kid" is super talented. His style reminds me of a mash up of the Beatles, Queen and Mozart. I'm digging it.

I listened to the new cover songs but I much prefer the old set of covers for Nitemare. I liked Fiona's version of Sally's Song better which is surprising since I much prefer Amy Lee's voice overall. Though Mansons This is Halloween just ROCKS! It's in the old cover set but still awesome to hear each time. Who I've started listening to that I think it awesome is Holyhell. It's very dark and yet it's something else. It's not quite epic or haunting but there's something about it that compels me to continue listening. Resurrection -- Nice little guitar work in the beginning but this song is a bit to raspy for the slow parts but I love the chorus. Rising Force -- Now I may be a bit biased on comparing it to the original version since I much prefer female fronted bands but I really enjoy hearing her voice in this cover. I really don't care for the solo's in the middle. Apocalypse -- This was one of the songs that really made me love the band. XD This one is completely dark and about the revelations. I know not many people enjoy the type of music I do but I posted about the songs any ways. ^^;

Not a prob...I got an email from them about it...I signed up for the album a few months ago, and apparently that put me on their mailing list...but considering that the first email I got from them was offerring more free music I certainly won't complain!

Hey- it won't let me open it. At first, I get a glimpse of the page and then a little window pops up and says Internet Explorer cannot open the page. So I tried with Firefox and it worked. Weird.

yea, the revisited has been out for a while ... came out probably about 2-3 years ago, but back then you had to buy it as part of a two disk set and the other disk was the OST.
