Only 4 more days until From Dead To Worse will available.Woo Hoo! ;D Like I said at the start of this thread, it is a fantastic read with many plot twists and previous questions answered in the narrative. And you will see a new character whose name may be familiar to you on page 258.

I preordered it months ago. I am ready to start on it. While I have never posted on Charlaine's board, I have read all of the Sookie bookies!

I loved it. ;D jackiekessler.com/catandmuse/2008/05/02/thats-sookie-like-cookie/Hey! Didja see in the True Blood thread where the premiere date was announced? 09/07/08...mark your calendars!

Oh I just love Sookie.....but le sigh I'm going to have to wait to get it from the library. No way can I afford hard cover prices....but I'ld have to say if I could , Charlaine Harris would be worth it.

I am reading the last of Personal Demon as fast as I can so I can. Ya think? Did ja get the book, huh, did it come in the mail, have you started reading it? Can you tell I need something to calm me down? This book is just so good, I believe it is the best of the series so far and that is saying a lot. Dead To The World has long been my favorite, but this one....Holy Cow! You'll see...trust me!

It got here yesterday. I still have to finish Personal Demon. I don't read as fast as most people here do. On the plus side i have plenty of free time to read so I make up for it with long blocks of just reading.
I notice this one is not labeled "a southern vampire mystery". Instead, it's labeled " A Sookie Stackhouse book". Any reason why? Is it related to the up coming soon to be award winning HBO series?
I'll be reading it by tonight..no wait there's that Stephen King book I keep forgetting to read...

They moved the title, page # and Charlaine's name to the bottom of the page. Since the "Southern Vampire" series was the publisher's idea in the first place I guess they can change it if they want to, after all the books are not just about vampires...but many kinds of supes interacting with the human world. Maybe because the name Sookie Stackhouse is more recognizable? Who knows...I can ask Charlaine, I will see her next week in Minneapolis. She is on the road...tonight she's in Tulsa, so the emailing grinds to a halt unless there is an emergency of a sort. Are you really gonna wait to read half way down page 259 to see if you recognize anybody? You are strong-willed, my friend.

Yep, I'll wait. I don't like spoilers. I liked the credit she gave you in the acknowledgement page or what ever you call that page. It must be cool seeing your name in there and thinking "YES THAT'S ME!" I tried to pay extra attention to the opening chapter. I just know it was set up that way for a reason.

arrgh! Too many threads with too many new books! I make it a rule not to buy myself new books right before a holiday so my hubby & daughter can give them to me for Mother's Day/birthday/Christmas. Right now it's killing me!

Yes, it is cool to see my name but there is a good reason that it is on that page...I really work hard on the manuscript once I get it. I go over it frontwards and backwards at least 4 times, send it back for rewrites, and then go over it another 4 times before it goes off to the Berkley editor, Ginjer(who is a very cool lady). I also go over the ARC, since it can still be changed from that. Then I have to add the info from the book into the character bible I am building for Charlaine. It makes me proud to know that I have helped CH put out a very good book. My co-workers have taken to calling me the famous Debi Murray. Makes me LOL!
