Yeah, online is definitely my choice. I hear you loud and clear about having a hard time finding what you want in the store; besides who wants to walk 'round and 'round looking for some book they probably don't even have when you can point and click in your pajamas w/bedhead? Now that's what I'm talking about!

Exactlly except I don't own PJs. It always struck me as odd putting on clothes to go to sleep.

Well, my finances became very endangered the day Wal Mart started carying a decent selection of books...now I have to either avoid the section or simply force myself to limit my spending...Then again most of the Wal Marts up this way are supercenters, so not sure how normal ones fair for selection...
Granted, it's not Barnes and Noble or Borders or anything but they still have some decent books...

My problem is that I want the book right away(on the sell date). I find it easier to stop by the B&N or Borders on the way home from work every Tuesday, rather than point and click and then have to depend on the post office or UPS to get it to me in a timely fashion. My Walmart is just a regular one, they had OFITG, but to my dismay do not carry Charlaine Harris despite my asking them many, many times to do so.

I'm patient, I can wait for the mail...I only get aggravated if amazon tells me I'll get the book the day it goes on sale, and then I don't. That chaps me, but otherwise it's not a problem because I usually have a stack of books waiting to be read anyway. We have a SuperWal-Mart, but I swear I just never think to go to the books.

I just can't get on board with the electronic book thing. They've been around for years in one form or another and I guess they serve a purpose. I suppose it would be great to have all your textbooks for a semester fit in your pocket. But for me, reading is tactile. My husband laughs at my rituals with new books. I look at the cover art and who the artist is. If it's textured or embossed, I actually feel it. I look at the author's photo on the back and check who the photographer is. I read the copyright page to check if it's a first edition. I read both book flaps, the dedications, foreword, afterword, and author's notes. I check the list of books by the author to see if I've missed anything. THEN, I read the book. That's right, I'm an Uber book nerd and proud of it.

lol...personally I don't like the e-book thing either...horrible at reading from any kind of screen...it just doesn't feel right to me (which reminds me I need to beta read something for a friend)... None of the Wally Worlds around here had One Foot, which is why I made sure to get to the bookstore today...usua;;y they're good for most of the ones I want these days...and much more convinient since I tend to sleep durring normal business hours of the mall
