These books don't necessarily warrant a thread for the author. But I figured we could do some book chatting in here- about whatever we're reading. I just finished Playing with Fire by Katie MacAlister. For those of you who are familiar, it's a spinoff of the Aisling Grey, Guardian series. This is the first of the Silver Dragons novels. www.dragonsepts.com/index2.phpAnybody else read these?

I read the Aisling Grey ones, but haven't read that one yet. Coincidentally, my best friend was just telling me about it this morning. She really liked it. Arrgh! New book overload!

Aisling, Drake and a couple of his green dragons appear in this one, which is cool. And Jim! Can't forget Jim! I haven't read the last Aisling book, but didn't think it would be a big deal. Yikes. She's preggers! Drake's got a twit brother. Jim's not just a demon, but a fallen angel! Whaddimiss? I guess I should go get it after all. Sometimes I just can't keep up with all the series I read.

Another one of my favorite book series starts with One Foot in the Grave by Wm Mark Simmons. It's got everything, vampires, werewolves, other mythical creatures, zombies, voodoo. Extremely funny! One of my favorite scenes in a later book is when the main character drags a TV out into the graveyard on his property to entertain the zombies that live there. The male zombies are complaining because the girl zombies have hijacked the TV for an Ally McBeal marathon.

What kind of book is it? Comedy? Mystery? What?

Gotta love Jim! This book is on my towering TBR pile. These books are fluffy, but entertaining.
Has anyone read any of her others? Blow Me Down is about people stuck in a pirate reality/video game....really funny!

No. I would never think to pick up a book with that description. But yeah, she's funny as hell. My friend in Scotland sent me a romance of hers called Men in Kilts. I groaned. But it's cute. And yes, funny. Not as sharp-tongued as the dragon books though.

Freaking awesome zombie novel. He keeps being praised as the next Steven King but I think he's better. XD
