I've watched the show from the beginning, but hadn't been exactly obsessed.
Then at some point this season, I got totally confused. I think I missed an episode or something.
A week or two ago, I found the first season set available for a great price, and could not resist buying it.
Now that I've seen the first season again, I'm blown away at the fabulous way they've managed to build the series and develop story lines and character over time.
Anyone else a fan?

Yep. I just have to remember to never say anything bad about Tom. We both dislike their version of Lana. I dislike the choice they made in who plays her. Clark is supposed to be the last son of Krypton. If he is then who in the hell are all those other Kryptonians that keep popping up? Kara can fly Evil Kal-El can fly Why can't Clark? Chloe started to suck so let's make her a 'meteor freak' to! YAY!!! I like Jimmy and Lois teamed up even though they sort of sucked in their ambush a couple a weeks ago. Stride Kryptonite chewing stretchy Jimmy was kind of dumb. i guess they needed the product placement. Jimmy did get various powers in the comics off and on in the past. I didn't like the idea of them bringing young versions of the eventual JLA at first. If they're going to do that, then let's see a young Wonder Woman(Girl?) or maybe a rough early version of Batman. We already have the Martian Manhunter popping in. What grows on the Kent farm and when does Clark have time to grow it?

Well said, Vamp. What grows on the Kent farm and when does Clark have time to grow it? Ha ha ha! Good one! They don't much show him working on the farm anymore; do they? I know Jonathan used to stress about bills, so it's not like they've got a bunch of money to hire people to do it. Oooo! I wonder who's in Lionel's will!

... Oooo! I wonder who's in Lionel's will! Excellent question. Hmmm ... . I am sorry to see Lionel go, I think he'll be missed.

I think we finally found a use for Lana. With fuel cost so high, Clark can strap her into a harness and use her to plow the back 40. Martha is a politician now. The farm is exempt from all debts past, present and future. She supports the Clintons. I bet Lex was taken out of the will. Everything goes to Chloe Sullivan. I imagine the writers have probably over looked this little detail, like so many others.

I've missed so much of this show it's not even funny. I stoped watching it because i've missed so much and now i'm lost on pretty much everything. When I get the money i'll just start getting the seasons on DVD so I can enjoy the show again.

Eryk, it's kinda gone downhill and had some cheesy plotlines thrown in there. Vamp, that was baaad! I thought when she married Lex we decided she was the garden tool.

Well, at the moment, she's catatonic thanks to Brainiac.

Well, at the moment, she's catatonic thanks to Brainiac. See? I keep missing this show, even when I don't mean to. As I'm watching my dvd's, I'm finding I don't mind the idiocy too much. (Bear in mind that I watch CSI: Miami because I think it's hilarious. I'm sure they don't intend it as such, but sometimes I think the best comedy happens that way.)

It isn't so much that Clark can't fly, more that he doesn't have the confidence to try...
Batman's never going to appear in Smallville...DC has stated that they want to keep the Batman and the Superman franchises separate so they don't have to worry about cross platform continuity...
Wonder Woman would be a great character to throw in however...Come to think of it, more female Heroes in general...

Yup, it's so they can continue to put out Batman movies and Superman movies at the same time...I'd hate to try to maintain continuity between both of those movie series AND a TV show that's already diverged from the comic continuity...
