Regan. Say it like Ronald Reagan. Not Rogain. Or like the little girl in The Exorcist. ;D Wouldn't Jolivia's dual nature let her use the manuals to find out more about "Rogain"? This would let her do just what mouse said. Or am I not understanding how they work? I think you're exactly right, Vamp. Would the manuals show her personal life. Like lovers and friends? And since Jo is both light and shadow can her manuals be touched by both sides? Cuz that could be dangerous.

Would the manuals show her personal life. Like lovers and friends? It might. For example, the murder of Tekla's son is shown in the manuals. So anyone wanting to push Tekla's buttons could use that. So I'm sure she could find something to mess with Regan if she wanted to.

Well of course it showed that. He was in his 3rd cycle to become a full pledge star sign when he was killed by a shadow agent. It wasn't like he was some normal boy who was killed by a drunk driver.

Like the manuals are going to show that Jo went for drinks with Cher. I don't think they would even mention Cher unless she happened to be caught in the middle of a light and shadow batter?

I know what you mean now and I'm remaining silent. I would imagine one could always resort to other means of obtaining information.

But still it would be nice to see Rogan get a taste of her own identity's theft.

As I'm reading this time, as well as when I read it the first time I can't help thinking.."JO!! What the F are you thinking? She's SHADOW! Enemy, Duh" (quote of VP ) The fact that she buys ANYTHING from her is nutty. I want to yell at her. Yes, yes, her motivations etc are made quite clear but I still want to shake her...as does Warren I suspect. I;ve just read the part where she is sitting on the slipper as the fireworks/virus is released and she gets the phone call. Now if I lived in the strange 'other world' she does and had been through what she had, if i saw a low flowing fog/dust/cloud rolling across the valley and then got a call from a shadow agent, I think I'd run like a baby to Warren and say "Look Look!!! Weird bad thing!!! Aaaaaaah" But that's just me---non superhero. New thought. I'm very intrigued by the rogue culture. I can't help but imagine, and be interested in, what the suburbs might be like. VP! Are there rogues agents out in Summerlin? Henderson? Sunrise? And what must that be like? I can see a possible plot twist where Jolivia is stuck between the two sides and chooses the independent life instead for a while. I think she'd have to some back to the light, but it would make for some interesting drama. ALso, is the light's numbers were so depleted, why NOT take on a rogue if the bloodline was lost? If there is an answer to that, I can't recall it right now. Another thing. I want a weird locker that leaves me cryptic gifts. Having too much fun. Not sure why this made TWO spoiler tags. I only meant it to do one. Oh well. stacey

Can't wait for the 3rd book. All I can say is, I hope Regan's going DOWN! Everytime I read one of her scenes, it makes me mad. Hope Jo puts her in her place, no?

Oh yes, Regan needs her ass kicked. When I read the crap she pulls, it's everything I can do to keep myself from reaching in that book and snatching her bald-headed.
I sound like a nut, but I kinda like it.

Remember, I've seen you drink, missy. If you were hanging atop the Slipper with a bottle of wine, you'd be thinkin' the same thing. Good thought on the rogue culture. All I'll say is that we'll be seeing some more conflict from that front. But suburbs are still w/in troop territory. The smaller cities are the provinces of rogue agents. Finally, I want a locker too.

How can I like her? Well, she's manipulative and devious and attractive... Women aren't the only ones with a soft spot for the "wrong kind of person"...y'all always seem to pick the asses instead of the nice-guys, why can't we?

I totally understand why you like her Deathlynx. I don't blame you a bit. I know that sometimes I definitely like the bad boys too. I think it's a testament to Vicki's awesome writing that we feel as strongly as we do about these characters. That aside, Regan ought to know better than to be messing with Ben like that! LOL
