Bingo. As far as Olivia making another appearance...in some ways wasn't Jo suppose to be a new person now? She took her experiences as both of them, and finally became the person she was meant to be? I'm probably not wording that correctly... Plus isn't she done hiding?

She's not b*tchy, g*ddammit! OK so I just finished devouring CTG. Amazing Story. I love how Jo has grown with each progressive book in the series. IN this one she has really come into her own. She is strong, together, determined, reconciled with the woman she is and still bitchy (love it). She was totally Ticking me off about the Hunter getting lovey dovey with his wife. I wanted to smack her one for having no faith in my main man. Shockers - Suze/Zoe - Yeah I totally had to eat previous words I had about that but that ok she was totally kick ass!! though I wish she beat up Warren the Toad! He is still a douche. I love the Independent Agents, they are so interesting and have been a part of the series that I always wondered about. Any who Loved this book and for once it didn't make me cry. COS is still extremely painful topic for me. But totally happy that some of the questions were answered in this book. The Fights scenes were amazing. Epic and awesome!

It wasn't spelled out in this book, so rest assured, you didn't miss anything. I'm wondering... did anyone ever find out what powers it was that Jo lost in Power Poker??? I don't know if i missed it or not.

jackie, Such good questions/thoughts. I'd love to answer you now ... but I'm writing the answers into another book. Thank you for reading so deliberately. It's fun to hear what resonates the most. I don't know which powers she lost, but those sticks she got from harlan trading them were pretty awesome. Especially awesome? Jo using those sticks on Sola! Sweet! Maybe i need to re-read, but when Jo and Hunter are talking, he says that Sola is the only one with an intact soul? I though since Hunter used Regan's sould, that his would remain intact? Any ideas on that? Continuing on souls, Sola complained someone was protecting Jo's soul. Was it her mom, zoe, or was it her soul connection to hunter? Or did that connection not come until Jo was pregnant? I was suprised by Tekla in this one. The fact that she suggested to Warren to send Jo to midheaven and get her soul stripped? Ugh! What? I'm glad Tekla helped her out, but she has a darker side to her, even if it's not quite as bad as Warren. Warren just needs to be slowly and painfully put out of our misery. Preferably by Zoe and Jolivia together. Or maybe by Jo's new pet, the ginormous Buttersnap? (side note- super sad about Luna. Cried for her ;_; ) Random thoughts in my head: Where is Lola? And with the weird time distortion in midheaven, how old is Lola? Seems that Sola took off pretty quickly after she found out she was pregnant and told Hunter that their little girl would be the Kairos. Is there a chance that Lola hasn't emerged cuz Sola had a boy? Wouldn't that just be evil? Hopefully Vicki will shed some light on this soon. . . . .

Jackie's right. He used Regan both times. His soul is, as yet, intact. And, Jackie, the baby reference was in the first book. As for Hunter's and Sola's background - the entire story is spelled out in 'Dark Matters' a short story in the UNBOUND anthology. Does that help? He definitely used Regan both times because when JJ showed up while Jo was there, she was confused that the picture on the wall looked feminine but the figure before her was decidedly not. I like both ideas about hunter's soul. The changeling and that women are the power. Thanks for the insight. Now i'm going to have to go back and read the books again to find the aureole where hunter was holding a baby. Now that you mention it, i do remember something like that. Hunter seemed surprised when he found out where Sola was though. Can anyone determine the timeline for Hunter/Sola? When she got pregnant, when she had Lola, how old lola should be and when did Sola leave for midheaven? I'm confusing myself trying to figure this out. . . . Help!

This is all true. Okay, Vicki's not going to really answer anything that is to be revealed in future books. She's just going to give us that evil author laugh.

Ravie, Oh, thank you for mentioning Caine. You're the first to do so. I loved him, and couldn't decide if I wanted him to live on or not. Ultimately the story decided it for me (everything bows down to the story needs in the end) but I LOVED him. It HAS to. Who else could it be? Not that I'd tell you even if I did know. But dudes, did you not love the living hell out of Caine? I wanted MORE of him. Yes, him providing the ultimate sacrifice made him all the more: a. bad-ass for doing it b. creepy for getting off on the pain c. mysterious that he'd do it for someone he just met But also, it made Mackie seem all the more scary and powerful. That merely holding him so Jo could escape killed Caine. Mackie and that soul-stealing blade. Which, by itself, in genius. Vicki managed to bring in a whole new baddie that wasn't a Shadow, not anymore anyway. This created a new element to the game. LOVED. CAINE. I so wanna pick Tekla's brain on that dude.

Ashlyn's only connection to Shadow is via her maternal grandfather, the Tulpa. The rest is all Light and mortal. So she can't be the Kairos. And Zoe created Skamar, but wanted Jo to name her, thus giving them both more power. It wouldn't have packed quite the same punch if Zoe did it, and they needed all the power they could get to go against the Tulpa. Khrystyne - I promise I won't kill you! And something I know, but you didn't need to as readers - Midheaven operated on a sidereal time system. Given your questions I'll see if it needs to be addressed openly in a future installment (I don't want to bog the story down with details that slow, rather than add to it) but for now know that your instincts are right. Time moves differently in MH. And since it's a worldbuilding rule, it can't help but influence future action/everything that happens there. And that's all I can say about that. Haha, got it. You know, I'm wondering is Ashlyn half shadow and half light as well then? So in reality there is "3" kairos now? And since Hunter is light and all would that make the new baby only part shadow, or completely light?

Believe me, you do NOT want to see into this brain. You would run screaming. I know. I've tried. (It f*cking followed me, but from, like, in front.) Yes, Vicki knows what she's doing. Just wish I could see into her brain sometimes. She's an evil genius. . . .In the best possible way, of course

I'm thinking of having t-shirts made with bazookas on them. LOL. Every girl needs a good bazooka. Love love loved the book, the bazooka was awesome =) I got that Jolivia was pregnant, looking forward to seeing her kick Sola's skanky ass. Poor Hunter dude needs to catch a break, warren needs to be offed in a spectacular horrific scene, Zoe was kick ass. GAH now we have to wait a whole year to get the next fix

Give the smart numbers girl a gold star. Bingo. So glad you caught it. I'll spell it out later, but it wasn't time yet. Just needed to be there. If you look, Zoe took pains to arm Jo that way every time she went to MH. She knew. Ok got another Q. Who do u think protected Jo's soul? I think it's Zoe when she painted those temporary hienna tattoos and gave Jo all that Tibetean stuff, but who knows...it could the ability Sola's after. Guess I'll find out in a year or so

Wow, you all are making me feel like a simpleton. You have all these brilliant ideas and are analyzing things so cool like, and this is me:
"Hunter loves Jo. OMG Kisses and snuggles!" "Cool new characters rock." "Jo's gonna have a BABY" *singing and dancing*
Maybe when I read the entire series again, back to back, then I will have some brilliant thoughts. BAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Loved this book. I can't believe after all this time Suzanne was actually Joanna's mother Zoe. Mother and daughter fighting together against evil that was perfect. Now all that's needed is to save Hunter. Loved it and can't wait for more.
