Once you get past the EWWWW picture of Christian Bale looking too skinny and read the article you see that Yahoo still hasn't employed an editor. Call me crazy, but I thought the FIRST sentence was the most important. Should it not be flawless, at least? Christian Bale: Frighteningly Skinny 'Fighter' Christian Bale has proven that he's willing to throw himself entirely into each of his roles, whether it meant tanning and working out excessively to play Patrick Bateman in "American Psycho" or, most famously, nearly starving himself death*for "The Machinist," in which he played an insomniac so tortured by guilt that he drops to a shocking 120 pounds.* to death

For clarification purposes, this is not the big airport that you'd fly into when traveling to Detroit. It's a tiny ghetto thing. The news story is disturbing enough. But the typo or grammatical error just drives me nuts. No matter how many times I read that sentence, I can't figure out WTF they're trying to say! Why is there a tennis court at Detroit's city airport?A hundred thousand dollars is missing. A state-of-the-art tennis court is shrouded in mystery. And the man in charge has no answers. So, what's going on at Detroit's city airport?
Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick appointed a city airport czar and its under his direction that many say, the airport has fallen apart. Is it perhaps just missing a word after "its"? Where are all the editors?

Maybe they mean "...it is under his direction..."

Yeah, you're probably right.
Another blaring mistake from Yahoo.
I can't link to this because it's just on yahoo.com, on the part where you can see several news stories at one time and choose one to click on.
WHAT? Really? How are so many STUPID mistakes getting by?

ANOTHER EPIC FAIL FOR YAHOO NEWS!Teen kicked off basketball team for hairstyle Interestingly, this is the second time in two past calendar years that Greensburg Junior High's basketball team has garnered regional attention for issues it would rather avoid. According to the Greensburg Daily News, the junior high program was involved in a nasty hazing scandal in February 2009, with little official punishment resulting from an episode in which some players hit their teammates in the face with genatalia.WHAAAAT?Last I checked it was spelled genitalia. SPELL CHECK MUCH? Got an editor?
