The mink stuff might be hard to produce on TV, but yeah. AWESOME.

As to the TV series - I hope they don't fuck it up Well, Julie---you see what's happened to the Sookieverse with True Blood. But we can always hope

If you had a scale to measure all of the adaptations done right against all of the ones the trashed, the trashy side would win. It wouldn't even be close.

Out of curiosity, how many of the other book-based shows have had their authors consulting? That might give a good indication as to how true they intend to be, at least to the characters, if not the plot...personally, I wouldn't mind an alt universe for plot (like in Legend of the Seeker for example) if they keep true to the characters themselves...True Blood has been faithful for some but not so much for others...

It was AMAZING. I gotta say it might just be my favorite of hers. Generally, I often like the first in the series because it's tone that got me hooked. The past couple books, Rachel's been struggling, in trouble, or constantly getting her butt kicked. She's finally coming into her own, finding her place in her world and accepting who and WHAT she is. I love her evolution and where she is now. I love the supporting characters and the world she lives in. The book was fantastic.
I don't want to give too much away, but somehow, with each book, it's like a new piece of the puzzle revealed. You think Kim could've been plotting this all along because it just fits. It doesn't feel like a villlian or plotline just thrown in. It's like the unfurling of flower petals revealing something beautiful underneath. I couldn't get enough, I was constantly wanting to read and wanting to know what was coming next, but I didn't want it to end.
Fantastic! I can't wait for more. I wanna know what's up with Al, Trent, Ivy & Jenks, David, Wayde, Ceri, Glenn and even Belle.
