Ok, let's see first if I understand correctly....
1.) The Zodiac - light and shadow - was born centuries, maybe millenia ago.
2.) Every major city in the world has a troop.
3.) Every city with a troop has the recorder and changelings.
4.) The comics record the history of each city from the beginning of the troop for the city.
5.) The very first issue ever fortold the coming of the Tulpa and the Kairos and how to destroy the Tulpa.
If I have all that correct, my question is this....
Is there only one Tulpa and one Kairos, or do each city get one too? If not, then why would everyone be waiting for this, if only one troop in one city in the entire world will receive it? How will these revelations affect the rest of the world, if they cannot leave their city of power?
Sorry, I like to play devils advocate sometimes, and I haven't finished book three yet, tomorrow I will.

Vicki will answer as soon as she can, she's at her uber-busiest right now. But I can take a stab at it for now, if you don't mind. I think the stuff you said "let's see first if I understand correctly...." is correct. Some of your questions may be answered when you finish book 3. Specifically, if there is only one tulpa. I don't believe each major city automatically gets a tulpa and/or kairos of their very own. But that's my speculation. Vic will have to answer that one. And go ahead and play devil's advocate all you want. No need to apologize. We ~love~ that you're so interested in the books. More people to talk about them with! ;D I hope I was helpful to you. As much as we can be until Vicki can pop in here.

And does every city record the troop shenanigans in comics or are other media used? What did they do before comics were invented? Inquiring minds want to know!

Word of mouth. Scribbles on skins. Ink on parchment. Telling of stories evolves with the people and events they are about. Could be anything.

And why now? What is special about now in the space-time continuum that brings everything to a head.... creation of the Tulpa... time of the Kairos.... etc.
Was the moon in the 7th house, and Jupiter aligned with Mars or something?
Dang, I know that was from something, now I can't remember.

Hehe I knew that. Just wanted to see the age range here.... So I finished the book.. now I have more questions.. whaaaaa! Isn't it a little coincidental that Zoe, the Archer, after having Joanne through the Tulpa, married Xavier Archer? Then she creates a doppelganger, that requires the current Archer, her daughter, through the Tulpa, to name in order to destroy the Tulpa.
Also how is she giving Jolivia the presents, if she isn't in Sanctuary anymore?

Of course it's not a coincidence! She's doing it all on purpose. She had to give up her position to make way for Jo, but that doesn't mean she has to give up helping in every way she can! Just because she's mortal doesn't mean she's not a badass! Who said she's giving her the presents?

Because the things Jo is getting are from Zoe... like the ring, the pictures... those were owned by Zoe

Because the things Jo is getting are from Zoe... like the ring, the pictures... those were owned by Zoe yes, but a third party could be passing them along. Just a theory.

Zoe may have forfeited all of her stuff when she gave up her star sign.

true, but why would they show up at different times, like not all at once? like the ring shows up i think it was a year after Jo joined. it wasn't in the locker before.
