Vamp, it is not by our numbers that we dominate. You know this. That, was awesome. I think I have a new tagline.

Yeah, don't try to fight it Vamp. We just lose. Years ago, my dad gave me some advice on being married, he said before you get married one day, decide if you want to be right or happy, because you will not be both. And I am a very happy man!!! I will post pics of my boys once my wife shows me how to do that!! I'm lost without her!!!

Maybe that's why I never married.

Hi all I'm new to the board and to Vicki's books. My husband was the one to actually discover them at Powell's. He was nosing around the science fiction and fantasy section while I waited to get another book signed at the event we were there for. All he said was you will like this even more than me, in reference to "Shadows" and he was right! I loved it! Next day he went back and bought the second book. We're both eagerly awaiting the third Anyways I'm a stay at home mom and family taxi driver. Also an online gaming aholic (City of Heroes). And on the side I volunteer for my daughter's art literacy class, draw, write, and dj for an online radio station. I'm always happy to talk with people via chat so don't be shy. Just please identify yourself first or you may get the infamous red X block button (been having issues)

Welcome Empyreal! I wish I could get my husband to read more of the same things I did. The best I could manage was getting him hooked on Doug Adams and Christopher Moore.

Their names are Spasmo, Lil Bit, and Smokey. Also there is a stray cat that we feed when he comes around and his name is Oreo. OMG, your cat and my kid have the same name! (And it's not Spasmo. )

Hello, my name is David G. A friend of mine that had read Vicki's books told me about them. We both read Kim Harrison's books. I got to say that I have really enjoyed the first two books and can't wait for the 3rd book to come out, this summer. I really like the whole comic feel of the books. It is good to see a forum for such a talented author. David G. Hi David! While I see a lot of familiar names here, I don't think we've met yet. I'm thrilled you've joined us, and thanks for the kind words on the series. I'm having so much fun writing it, and it's a joy to have readers along for the ride. I hope you enjoy TWILIGHT as much as the first two!

Hi Empyreal! You're going to have to thank your husband for me. I love to hear of spouses sharing these books. I do that with my husband as well. Thanks for taking the time to hang out with this motley crew on the net, too. I have to say, I love the way this place is shaping up. Friendly peeps from all over the country...who know how to read! Ah, the Kindred. ;D I'm a work-at-home mom, too, though my taxi duties are still limited. I don't expect that to last. (Actually I'm looking forward to it -- can you say 'Pee-wee soccer'? ) So if you're a dj, you must have a great voice. I have a friend who says mine is like Minnie Mouse on crack...but she's not a very good friend.

Friends don't let friends give crack to cartoons.
I've heard you in a couple of interviews and I didn't hear any trace of Minnie cracked out or otherwise. Maybe a little Jessica Rabbit (I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way.)but no Minnie Mouse.

Well, she's no Jessica Rabbit. Kathleen Turner's got the deep, husky voice goin' on. Not Vicki. I was getting over a chest cold last time we talked and I sounded more like that though. With added phlegm. Not sexay.
