Vampy-D! Ladies and gents, the party has officially begun! Whoo-hoo! And I love the tagline under your avatar! I really am going to have to be more careful of what I say. (Do you like how I've made you a rapper today? Or you could be a wanna-be rapper, like K-Fed. V-Doodles. ;D)

Please ma'am, do not make a rapper out of me. Rap is the only thing I hate more than country music. I thought you'd like that under the avatar. I was going to use the picture of Fuzzy holding the card but it came out in black and white for some reason. I'm glad to see you here with us but do not let us interfere with your work. I'd hate to see Raven have ban you from your own forum.

Ha ha! The picture of his cat "holding" it is really just a picture of it propped up against her butt. Vicki, it sounds like you need to give big hugs to Kim- she grabbed you some awesome readers!

Scraggles, I know nothing of the Dr. Horrible thing you mention. What gives? Well, a few weeks ago, I had no trouble finding references to it, but lately, the only ones I've seen are over on Whedonesque.com. It's apparently an online project of Joss Whedon's, with "Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day." Follow this link for the 'Dr. Horrible' category search over on Whedonesque, if you want to know more. HTH!

Hi all,
Just joining in....more like a lurker who occasionally feels the need to express her opinion here and there, but regardless I'm here! Like most, I heard of Vicki through Kim's website and followed her trek to the release of Shadows from there. I'm a retired graphic designer who now "manages" the family. I love all things Buffy (including the latest comic series!), enjoy nerdy things like playing LEGO Star Wars on Playstation3, digital photography and playing with my MacBook Pro. Not a lot of mystery here but rather a rather a big ol geek who likes a good margarita. ; )

Vampy, Raven would ban me from my own forum too. I well know it! Vicki, it sounds like you need to give big hugs to Kim- she grabbed you some awesome readers! Raven, Oh, believe me - I have thanked Kim repeatedly. She was the first author to welcome me professionally into the fold, and believes very much in "paying it forward" and that strong writers and a strong genre are good for everyone. Plus, she's a consummate professional. I can't express how much I adore her.

I love the works of Whedon. I don't think we'd like each other much in person. Our beleif system is too different based on what I know from his remarks in various commentaries on Buffy/Angle/Firefly DVD's. Even though we're very different, there is no argument from me, the man can create some great worlds.

Hello Vicki & All, I found Vicki's books through Kim Harrison too. Vicki, I loved your book after the first few pages. I was drawn in. I have had the honor of winning a bookflat for Holidays are Hell from you and I have sent it to Kim and Lynsay for signing. I'm hoping to get the final signature some day soon from Ms. Liu. I feel very honored to have the bookflat and I'm trying to find a way to display it so I can see both sides. I fear short of having it hanging from my ceiling rotating from the fan it may not be a plausible solution. LOL It's good to see familiar names from Kim's site and the B&N boards. It's like family. I'm generally a lurker, but I will try to contribute more when time allows;-) Gail-

Kim's pay it forward plan is great. It warms my heart that she takes interests in up and coming authors and helps them out. I see she has done the same thing for Rachel Vincent and I liked her first book a lot. I'll be reading the rest of them. We love you here but it must not interfere with your work. 1 work 2 us 3 family 4 food and drink 5 sleep

Howdy all! Deathlynx here...I'm an aspiring novelist myself, but IRL I'm a Toll Attendant... It's funny that the boards launched because I hadn't had a chance to think much about the series in a while...then, a week or so ago a friend told me she was moving to Vagas soon, so I mentioned Vicki and the series...then I jumped on Amazon and did a random search, only to discover Touch coming out soon (it went straight onto my wishlist at highest priority)... I'm very excited to be back talking with everyone

Evening all... Jenny aka Archangel (she's one of my characters ) checking in from Cornwall UK. I'm a huge fan of Vicki's work which I discovered thanks to Kim H. recommending her to me. I find her imaginative writing style very enjoyable to read. In fact after reading her first two books I have been sufficietly inspired that I decided to wind down my television broadcasting career and go back to university later on this year to read for a Masters degree in creative writing! I spent many many years of dreaming about becoming an author myself whilst writing pulp which was probably only destined to languish in my manuscript drawer. But by chance today I got the news that I have been offered a place at uni so now at last I really can call myself a writer in training. And it's largely thanks to you Vicky!
