Tom Cruise is tiny and they manage to make him look bigger in films lol
Warren I think would be played well by Mickey Rourke without the lip work lol

Speaking of lips.... I really think that Joaquin Phoenix would be a convincing Warren. Especially with his new (rapper? homeless? crazy?) look.

Agree on the actress from Seeker, but majorly disagree about Joe Manganiello. Something about him bothers me. Sexy voice, but not much else going for him. : )

That picture of Joaquin actually made me think of Caine. I think he'd play that part mighty well.
So here's a question: when you read a book, do you automatically cast characters in your head? My husband does that, and it never even crossed my mind. I can't do it--as others have said on this thread, they exist in my mind and it doesn't translate well to an actual person.
I have a theory that people who are able to clearly visualize characters into actual people make better authors than those of us who can't. I can do decent technical writing, but not imaginative writing. Thoughts?

No, I don't cast them in my head...then again I don't have a visual mental state...as it is, I have great difficulties even picturing people I know well, much less ones I don't... At the same time I'd like to think I'm a fairly good author (and have gotten compliments on such)...I admit that I might not get into as heavy detail when writing as some authors, then again I can't stand Charles Dickens and his 3 pages to describe a fireplace! Of course, I also keep extensive files to make sure I don't mess up on some of the basic details

The guy that plays Alcide would be my choice for Hunter over Michael Vartan. Michael's good looking but too white boy (sorry, yes, I said it) and not bulky enough for me.
I can't see Scarlett Johansen being able to pull off the bimbo side of Olivia?
I don't picture actors for the characters when I'm reading...it throws me off because I already have what I think they should look like in my head and sometimes the casting is WAY off. Sometimes it works (like Lafayette).
oh but the Nick Nolte drunk tank pic is priceless...
