HOLY REVELATIONS!
I just finished DOUBLE CROSS and was floored!
Lots of twists and revelations.
WOW!
I just finished DOUBLE CROSS and was floored!
Lots of twists and revelations.
I swear to you, I knew all along that the rat bastard Otto was EVILE. It could have something to do with the fact that he shares a name with my equally evile ex, but still.
I just had a feeling.
Plus, Justine's bond with his seemed to be slipping, she faked an orgasm with him, and Packard had all this insight about how he wasn't the one.
And the way he reacted about her freeing Ez, who was innocent. He didn't care that she was innocent, he was just pissed that someone else freed his prisoner without his consent. That set off warning bells to me.
But when Otto was slightly out of it, he said she was the only one who keeps away the darkness. Ooooo...
But Packard faking the Jarvis thing! OMG! Thedisillusionists can zing or not and they'll be fine. They aren't his minions after all.
Plus, they can zing whomever they chose with ho "blowback" aftereffects. It was all a lie to keep them in his service.
Day-amm.
And Justine professing her love to Packard when he was about to leave, then having sex with him, essentially cheating on Otto was WHOA! I felt bad for Otto for about a second, until he killed Avery, wiped Justine's memory and proved what a bumfuck he really is!
Shelby's gonna flip out and go all anti-Packard now, being that Sophia planted in Justine's memory that Packard killed Avery.
So now, only we as readers, and Otto and Sophia know the truth. Poor Justine accepted his jacked-up marriage proposal and rejected Packard, who, although isn't totally innocent, didn't do what he's been accused of and now must go on the run from the evil mayor that has the woman he loves (who loves him.)
