Generally, if it "takes place 9 months after the events of TNG*" it puts it in the same world...otherwise the time difference is a meaningless distinction...I think she's said it's going to be different protagonists but the same world... *Sorry, Not a Treker, but TNG to me will always mean "The Next Generation"

Not string you along so much as keep my focus on giving Jo a proper send-off. Or she'll kick my butt. Is that what that pain in my rear is? Damn! No need to worry, Vic. You never fail to deliver. Right now, I'm personally focused on the release of NEON GRAVEYARD. I'm sooo excited. Honestly, the next series is just a blip on the horizon because I'm still in a Zodiac frame of mind. I know you'll reveal your next project when the time is right.

DL - spring or thereabouts, yeah - but no official word yet. We're all still working on Zodiac, and I haven't even completed the first draft of the new one yet, so there's wriggle room still. But that's my guesstimate.
Vampy - no drinking? How else am I supposed to make my deadline?! ;-)

Pills? As long as you are in control of the drinking, and not the other way around, I don't have a problem with it. Addictions are a horrible thing and I'd hate to see something like that happen to my favorite 'ebil' author. I'd tell you to be all bright eyed and bushy tailed but you'd probably wax.

Who gets to choose when a book is released? Who has the authority to change it (not prolong it but sooner)?

The publisher schedules the releases. The author has no control over this.

I guess begging won't help them change their mind then huh? okay... On the home page we don't see the cover of Neon Graveyard not even @ amazon etc.. However, I saw the cover on a blogger's page and wasn't sure if it was the actual cover? Attachments:

Tanya,
Yep, Deb is right. The publisher schedules it, but the author/publisher agree to it at contract time. I was on a book a year before, and thought that I could comfortably move it up to one every nine months, so we agreed to that in writing. But no matter when I turn it in, they still need 9 months or so to do everything they need to on the back side - blurbs, cover copy, cover art, etc. - to get a book in ship shape. Yes, I need to update my site - but I'm doing a complete overhaul in anticipation of the final book and the new series, so I've been waiting until then. Hopefully not much longer.
Oh, and yes - that's the cover!

My favorite cover! The VPeeps have decided that's my next Halloween costume, too. ;D Does it say something about me that I pretty much already have the outfit and all I need is the whip? (And perhaps the red contacts. I may just Photoshop that detail.) I think my sad haircut will have grown out just enough by then, too. I'm not ready to move on from the Zodiac. Stop talking about the new series already!
