It does look good...I wonder if they're going to go into his alcohalism or if they're going to leave it PC?

I think they'll go all PC because they want to keep the rating PG-13 if they can. Substance abuse will push the rating into the R range. I really hate the concept of PC-ism.

No kidding there! Some comics work pushing them PC/PG-13, but others certainly would not...

The action and violence will make up for the lack of alcoholism and substance abuse. Now sing it's a PC world to the tune of "its a small world"

That pretty much sums up what PC-ism does in real life.
I am not fat. I am calorically challenged. I am not lazy, I lack motivation. I am not bald, I am follically challenged.
Anyway, most of the PC stuff is just annoying to me. It reminds me of "1984"

Are you kidding me? Even Cookie Monster had to alter his diet! So in this comics, he's an alcoholic? Hmm... alcoholism doesn't necessarily equal an R rating. It depends on how they portray it. If he isn't overly violent and swearing profusely or screwing every person he stumbles across, they can keep it PG-13. Alcoholism can be tastefully portrayed. However, they'll likely downplay it. Hell, people hardly smoke cigarettes casually in movies anymore. (Not that I'm complaining.) I gotta say though, hearing the few seconds of the song "Iron Man" on the commercials brings me back to being a kid. ;D

I HATE the fact that they've taken cookies away from CM!!!! You can use someone like that as an exmaple of the worst in a behavior even without presenting it as evil after all...but our response is to simply make it go away, pretend it doesn't exist...

Maybe they should just retire Cookie Monster and replace him with Veggie Vandal or something.
I don't like the way things are going in the media or the world in general at all. Everything is heading to super PC'ism.
Just the other day, I saw in the news where a little six year old boy was brought up on sexual harassment charges because he slapped a female classmate on the butt during recess. he wasn't trying to hurt her or anything, it was just an innocent jester of friendship and commodity.
Just how ridiculous is that? Where has common sense gone?
Oh well this is supposed to be about Ironman. In one quick shot in the trailer, I think I did see Stark down what appeared to be an alcoholic beverage. Maybe they will hint at his problems. It seems that in the first part, he's not a very nice guy.

And there's the great line in one of the commercials where he says "What!? I'm sure you seen me do far worse things!" while the robotic arms are working on the suit...

I think this movie will be a hoot. If it does well and i think it will, it may be just what Robert Downey JR. needs to get his career back on track.
