No, that's the one...except she was mortal not an actual agent...

I think Zoe and Jo can still use conduits for the simple reason that they aren't exactly mortal. They still have whatever it takes to allow them to handle the conduits because they voluntarily gave up their powers.
If Jo ever figures out how to cash in those power chips, she will super again. Zoe could do the same thing. They were born to the Light. A typical mortal off the streets like us couldn't do that.(well most of us anyway, I have my suspicions about some of you)

This thread now has me confused... I thought that the Grays had lesser powers than full-fledged Agents - hence the need for the protective coating on their organs and why they could not use conduits - obviously, they can 'handle' them because Tripp did, although the conduit damaged him in the process... I just assumed it was because they were not 'official' Agents.
I also attributed Jo's ability to handle conduits to her Kairos-ness. Yes, she's 'mortal,' but one of her parents is also a tulpa - non-human/thoughtform/paranormal entity - which makes her not really fully human somehow, so mortal human limitations may not necessariliy apply to her.
I assume that Agents of either side can use conduits from either side - or else how could one be killed with one's own conduit by an enemy Agent?

They are at a disadvantage because they can't use conduits without it being a Kamakaze...so they needed the protective spray to give them an advantage over the enemy...now neither could permanently hurt the other...

Maybe Vicki will come around when she isn't so busy and help with the confusion. Maybe she could explain why Agents of the Light and Shadow troop have these extra powers (ability to use a conduit without killing themselves) that "grey" agents don't have. Maybe its linked to the extra powers that come from the comic books. So if grey agents can't touch conduits without killing themselves, then they can never take out (kill) another agent, correct? That really puts them at a disadvantage. Lucky Jo didn't lose her ability to handle a conduit. Can someone help me remember when Zoe actually used a conduit? I know Jo did and has often used various conduits. But I don't remember when Zoe used one after leaving the troop and giving up her powers to Jo. I know she used the bazooka type weapon, but was that a conduit? Thanks

I am pretty sure Zoe grabbed one of Jo's conduit during the final showdown battle where she and Jo had their backs to each other. Plus isn't she the one that gave the old conduits to Jo in the first place?

The old conduits came from Zoe, but Jo saw them all during the bachlorette party scavenger hunt and then she went back and got them with the chest later. So we don't know that Zoe ever physically touched them at that point. But you may be right that she did use one during the final showdown, I can't remember. I will have to look it up in the book later. Thanks for the help.

I'm pretty sure she grabbed the rapier/pistol in the battle against Tulpa and Warren...
And no, the grays can't kill light/shadow without the help of a warden of the respective opposite side...Hense why they needed the extra protection, at least that gave them a single hit of equality...

uh, I was vaguely under the impression that the bazooka and the shotgun were conduits .... or maybe that was just wishful thinking on my part *laughs and shrugs*

I was thinking maybe Hunter will be able to make new conduits for the Grays, if he becomes a Gray and he is able to leave Midheaven, just a thought.

I could see that happening. I don't see warren a waiting Hunter's return with open arms. Grey is the only real choice he would have.
