I also on the Warren is an asshole bus. While you make a excellent points Montbriac, I don't think that him being flawed or having had a tough life excuses any of his actions. His single minded determination to win despite whoever he kills, hurts, and tramples over will most definitely be his downfall, and unfortunately, everyone else's. The game he's playing is going to backfire big time. I agree, it's got to blow-up on him sooner or later and when it does, the fallout will land solely in his lap. What I am really intrigued by is what he will do when it does -- will he become the better man or will he remain all twisted and sanctimonious? Will he try to set things to right or will he refuse to redeem himself? I'll admit it, I want Warren to be the hero he should have been -- he owes it to Zoe, to the troop and even to himself. He's got a long way to go and there's a good chance he'll fall short of my hopes for him -- but whatever the future holds, I know it will be good reading. Hey, at least his personal hygiene has improved -- that counts for something positive, right?

I am unfortunately completely on a the Warren is a fucktard Bus and if I could drive well I would be driving it! LMAO ;D - I call Shotgun Save me a seat, can't stand the man. He's way to harsh on everyone, especially Jo. I have no sympathy for him (or Heathcliff).

I love WH. I don't know if you can compare Heathcliff and Catherine's relationship to whatever we are assuming may have existed between Warren and Zoe. Sure, there was true love between them, but it was a very cruel love and we have no background on Warren and Zoe, yet.
I feel for Warren as well. I can see that he has sacrificed much on a personal level, but that was HIS choice. I really detest the idea of anyone playing God with someone else's life, to have someone think they have the right to take away your options. I find that I can bring myself to hate Warren but not Heathcliff. In my eyes if any of the two had a problem with duality, it's Warren. I can't say that Heathcliff ever pretended to be anything other than what he was. He was jaded and vengeful, and Catherine loved him as such. His true love new him as who and what he was and he needed not to change or hide. Warren, however, is playing hero for the Light and his actions to me seem far more repulsive than anything the Tulpa, the epitomy of Evil and Darkness, has done thus far.
I understand all too well, what it's like to see yourself as the monster and try your hardest to make up for it by setting higher standards not only upon yourself but also upon the unsuspecting people that surround you, but the end doesn't always justify the means. I hope you are right and Warren can be redeemed.

While Warren isnt my favorite character he is one of the most interesting. He appears to be all about control and power . He doesn't even accept any emotional comfort for himself ( like his relationship with Zoe ). He would have made a good cyborg as he doesn't let anyone's emotional status affect any of his decisions. His decisions are always cold and calculated to bring about what HE thinks is the right way to lead the troupe no matter what the fall out is. I think he needs to be brought down a peg or two because I am of the theory that ultimate power corrupts and he has had this power a little too long with his running the troupe . Maybe with Zoe being introduced will be the catalyst to bring him a little more into the likable range .......or not

Very good insight, chariselpis. I can tell you've really thought it out.
Squeaker, I've often wondered if Zoe could knock Warren off his high horse too.

Of coarse Zoe could knock him off his high horse . She isnt a powder puff girl . She made Skamar and she could make Warren beg ! Sigh if only she would. I would love for Vicki to write a spin off series on Zoe and Warren to understand better how they both love each other but ....ummm ... don't have any type of relationship etc. Its like ....you never call ..you never write .... how was I suppose to know you still love me ? hahaha

Okay, re-reading can be dangerous...Just finished SoS again and I'm now very confused about Warren's origins...Page 360 of SoS from Rena's revelations...His Father was the Taurean Light Agent, which shouldn't matter in the slightest...His mother was the sister of the Arean Light (which should either make her Ares herself or nothing depending on her birthday)...While Greta proves that non-agents can have conduits and the like, they shouldn't share the super-powers do they?
