I have way too many books myself...and no I haven't reread very many of them, but occassionally I do get the urge...As for the conduits, actually, I couldn't remember any except for Jo-livia's myself, so I went back through and had to scan the sections I knew that would have them... And to start off the contest, I'll send the answer to the first question out by PM, but I'll answer the second...I even drew a picture of it, and one of the agent who wields it...Capricorn, of course...It's a set of claws (one for each hand) and the button on it activates a spring which snaps the middle claw downward to break whatever weapon was caught by it...the downside, it's a very close range weapon...the upside, they're virtually impossible to disarm... The pics are links to them on my deviant page...

Very nice. You forgot the why part.
Just so everyone else knows, a sketch isn't necessary, deathlynx just went above and beyond. He just happens to have skillz. Well done.

lol...well, I wouldn't exactly say I have skill as an artist, just that I've been trying to get better over the last half year or so...I blame hanging around Deviantart too much...
As for the why, well, first part is easy, I'm a cat by nature so claws are a perfect symbolic weapon...works well for an agent of Light in that respect...otherwise, I also tend towards more honorable combat so ranged weapons aren't really my style...up close and personal...
And the other reason is because I like the concept of a weapon that disarms the opponent (hence the weapon breaker aspect)...If your opponent's conduit feels like a part of themselves, as Jo-livia comments hers does, imagine the morale plunging when it gets cut in half in their very hands! ;D

I've sent the pm for the first part of the question... now for the conduit. I've pm'd the answers to the first part. I've thought about this alot for the last 2 days. It would be a bowie knife, and it would be similar to the ones that would have brass knuckles for guards, but instead of the knuckles it would be 3 claws, where you could slash an opponent. And for a extra little bit of sneakiness, the handle would have a spring blade you could shoot from the bottom of the handle for a nice little suprise for a shadow agent! I would have one for each hand. As for why, well, I have always loved the bowie knife, the people from the Alamo were childhood heroes of mine, so the bowie has always been a favorite. And I've also loved weapons similar to tiger claws so this was a great way to combine the 2.

Very cool choice Crash! Oh, and I've redesigned my claws so that they actually would work the way I want them too...now I just need to figure out how to get them to colapse to some degree...tha'll be Ratcatcher version 2.5... Yeah, I'm a bit of a techno-geek to want to engineer it properly

OK..it's the last minute, but here it is.
I'm Aquarius so my conduit would have a water theme. (and yes, I know it's an air sign) My conduit would look like an ornate or decorative flashlight when tucked in a bag or pocket. When activated it would shoot out electrical energy/lightning that would 'flow' like water. I'd be able to adjust the flow, much like a water sprayer ie: broad shower, mist, fountain etc. the farthest reaching would be the 'jet' setting which I could wield like a whip. I myself would not be harmed by the charge, of course, unless used by the enemy.
Damn, as I write this it's starting to sound familiar to me. I hope I haven't subconsciously written one that already exists. How embarrassing would THAT be?
PM's the other part of the contest.

There's a fellow viking!? ;D A very cool conduit Localgirl! It doesn't sound familiar to me, unless you count the variable setting lightsabers from the Star Wars novels...

I sent my answers in PM. I'll also post my conduit here: My conduit would be a rock hammer/pick, one end of the head a hammer for bashing, the other a pick. It would be like the one pictured here: I have a geology background, and rockhound-types love our rock hammers! It would be suitably deadly against any agents of Darkness.
