Oddly enough, I've been getting back to my roots as far as music goes. Over the last year or so, I've gotten my hands on Cd's of most of Uriah Heeps albums as well as the first 4 Black Sabbath albums.
My ear for tunes has changed over the years, I'm hearing beats and riffs in thses albums I never did as a teen!! It's been a blast reliving my youth.

Diggin' the two songs from The Dead Weather lately. I can put them on repeat and not get tired of them. Anxiously awaiting their release in June!

We had both these cd's as samplers at work, and they're actually really good! GlasvegasRock band outta Scotland. You gotta try this! ^The artwork in this one is cool too. My favorites are "Flowers and Football Tops" and "Cruel Moon". The acoustic version of the former is a real tear-jerker. Also, another good one is: The Airborne Toxic EventRock with a violin! ^My favorites are "Gasoline" and "Innocence" and "Sometime Around Midnight". Check them out!

Saw Street Sweeper Social Club (Boots Riley and Tom Morello collaboration) opening for Nine Inch Nails and Jane's Addiction and loved them. Very catchy, funky rock/rap and Tom Morello can absolutely rock the fuck out. Check them out on MySpace. Their CD comes out on June 16.

I am addicted to the band Julien-K. Two members from Orgy formed the group. I seen them in concert with Evanescence and I became a fan. They have done music for the soundtrack Underworld:Evolution and Transformers. They are different which I like. I don't know exactly what they call the type of music they do but it's oh so good. At least to me it is.

So, Ailish just introduced me to this outrageous Gypsy Punk band, Gogol Bordello. I'm not sure why I like them, but I do.

In honor of me watching the lost boys the other night I promptly downloaded "Cry little sister" or as it is also known as "Thou shalt not fall" good old cheesy 80's power ballads

Reviving this thread! I really loved the songs that Maynard James Keenan, as Puscifer, had on the first two Underworld soundtracks but I wasn't blown away with his V is for Vagina CD, nor the remix stuff. So now he's released a digital download only EP called "C" Is for (Please Insert Sophomoric Genitalia Reference Here). Don't let the name fool you, this isn't sophomoric. He's got studio versions of a few songs that have been played live before, live versions of Momma Sed and Vagina Mine that are superb, and a new one co-written by a guy named Trent Reznor. Confusing. Anyway, check it out on Amazon or iTunes, it's well worth the $5 and change! Forgot to add I also revived my interest in Carina Round since she sang on one of the Puscifer tracks and is touring with them. Check out The Disconnection for a chick that rocks hard but has musicality. That is all for now! \m/ rock on VPeeps.

I picked up the Halestorm CD...quite a bit of angsty lover music on there...though it lacks a ballad, it reminds me of Evenescence...gotta say I do love the song that's been playing on the radio though; "I Get Off"...
