Let's find out. Which way is the girl spinning? Can you make her change direction? Read this article. www.news.com.au/perthnow/story/0,21598,22492511-5005375,00.html?from=mostpop

I'm right brained (I think most lefties are)...whenever I do tests like this; it comes up the same. I'm also left handed. My motto is: left handed people are the only ones in their right mind. ;D

I can make her go either way. I guess I use my whole brain, eh?

At first for me it was clockwise and it took forever, but I finally got her to change direction. Once I figured out how I was doing it I could make her flip back and forth pretty quickly.

That is very trippy!! I see it but my mind doesn't get how it works. I am a lefty too (and we can't help it if we are superior, can we Miki?) and she turns clockwise for me most of the time. However, I found that if I concentrate on her shadow, I can get her to change direction fairly easily. Pretty cool! Regarding left brain/right brain - I just read a book called "My Stroke of Insight" by Jill Bolte Taylor. She is a brain scientist who had a stroke in 1996 and her left brain was shut off for five weeks. It is very interesting. She has been on Oprah and you can find a talk by her on www.ted.com which is also very good.

Right-brained clockwise...I've gotten it to switch, but not very consciously...

I've seen her twirl both ways now and I coudn't tell you how I got her to change...ah....did the skitty thing w/watching the shadow and now it's pretty quick with changing directions. If I cock my head to one side or the other she switches...freaky! But I'm still right brained.

I'm right brained...big time. I can't make her change directions at all. So does that make me stubborn as well?

When I first started messing with it, I'd do math problems in my head to get her to go one way and my imagination to get her to go the other way.` It's just a matter of what you're thinking about and how your brain processes it.
When I first see her, she is going clockwise. If I stare at the shadow for a bit she goes counter clock wise.
To get her clockwise again, I relax my eyes, let them cross and refoccus and there she goes.

I found if I focused on her feet she went one way, focusing on her shoulders made her go the other way.

It pisses me off to try to MAKE her switch, so I don't.
But, the first time I came to this thread, she was going clockwise. Now that I return, she's going counter-clockwise. So you guys must've switched her around for me. Thanks! (Or I left my brain on backwards again.)
I'm one of those people that absolutely CANNOT do the hidden picture posters.

Doesn't matter if I focus on her feet or shoulders, she still goes clockwise. Guess I'm just weird. Oh, I can't do those hidden picture posters either. Gives me a headache to just think about them.
