Dark Matters takes place slightly after the birth of Ashlyn...after all, he makes referrence to it when watching the news in the bar with Warren...

Who makes reference to the birth of Ashlyn?

^Yeah, I don't recall that. I need to reread. Dark Matters takes place before they know about Jo so Warren doesn't even know about Ashlyn (I don't think he does now)

Yeah, I don't know anything of Ashlyn being mentioned, just Jo and Olivia on the news. JJ takes notice of the locally famous socialite sisters, that's all.

She wasn't mentioned specifically, but the news reports her mysterious six month vacation where no one saw her...it's because they didn't know about Ashlyn that it couldn't be flat out stated, but I'm pretty sure that's what the news report meant... Course, Vicki could answer quickly

Well, instead of using Ashlyn as a reference of when Dark Matters takes place...cuz that was a bit confusing. I'd say Dark Matters takes place, let's see, it was 3 yrs. after Hunters metamorphosis right (by the end of the story I mean) so I'd say it was a couple or three years before Jo's metamorphosis. But again, I still need to re-read.

I'm hoping one of you one of you have the authority to edit the time line on the front page so we can all see it clearly. I think it's a great thing, especially for new readers. I've read twice so far and still can't quite place it in my head.

Authority, sure! Confirmation of the time-line? Not so much

I have a question, does anyone know how old Lola is? In Taste of the Night, Hunter tells Jolivia that he hasn't had a drink in 10 years because he fell into bed with a Shadow Agent on his last real bender -- then in the story Dark Matter from the Unbound anthology, Solange tells Hunter/JJ that was got pregnant by him the first night they were together.
However, in the video promo that Vicki did for Unbound, she says that the events in that story take place about 3 years before the current timeline in the rest of the series.
So I am confused, how many years ago was Lola concieved?
Thanks for any insight!

With the time moving differently in Midheaven, she could be any age. If that is indeed where Lola is. Only Vick would know how old she is; it confuses me the way time folds over itself there.

I'm commenting here in hopes of bumping this up to the top to get some attention. Any chance of updating the timeline? Pleeeaaassseee? Or maybe it would be a spoiler? After many readings,I STILL can't place the timeline. I am clearly THICK on this or maybe obsessed or sucked into trivia instead of doing the laundry. LOL Maybe all of the above. Hoping for help soon. ")

Authority, sure! Confirmation of the time-line? Not so much ^What he said. At this point, my brain is so fried from studying, I'm afraid I'll mix up what I've leard from pre-reading and stuff that I just remember from the previous books. I don't want to give anything away. I've read the series several times and sometimes I can't remember how I know something or where I got the info from, it's just there. So, for now, I'm Sorry Stacey. Vicki really is the best person for the job, here. But you know how she is: BUSY, BUSY, BUSY. And when she can pop in here she does that, "Now, that would be telling, wouldn't it?" stuff if it might lead to a spoiler. ;D
