Miki, I have the same problem w/libraries. Indian givers!  My husband always asks if I really need another book, and don't I have any on my shelves to read. I always reply, "Yes. But I don't have this one."  |

Hey Vicki, oh if my husband only knew how much I spent on books the last few months... good thing he's at work when the mail comes. =) I believe I've become addicted to this board...I've been on most of the day (egads!)...got absolutely nothing done (besides a couple chapters in Stray) bad...and now the hubby's going fishing for 4 days--so this is where I'll be and reading in between. I"m trying to shed my mortal skin.  |

I used to do the same but with saving for Oz I've been limiting my spending (thank god for libraries!).

Well, the scary thing is I still spend the same amount on books and I haven't really been able to read for the last 2 months (pushing a deadline sucks)...so now I have a backlog of books in my locker at work  |

Well, i certainly understand saving for an awesome trip...I did the same thing a couple years ago when I went to Scotland for two weeks...definitely worth it...and I also have a backlog of books to read and buying more as we speak...yes, I think it's an addiction. And I'm sooooo glad to have it. I should be working on my writing as well, and I will...I don't really have a deadline to meet, but this second addiction (to this board) is making it difficult. I'm easily distracted ...just a few more posts...I swear, then I'll go...maybe, one more for good measure... =) |

Yes, I know what you mean. I think I got a page and a half written today...not so good, but better than nothing. I'm also reading Stray--usually do my reading at night, but, well, I've been slacking on the writing. I have got to get back in control. =)
